- Dragon-types were too OP anyway,
- It has been around 13 years since the franchise saw a new type, so it was getting too easy for players to make teams and type match-ups, and finally…
- Many Normal-type Pokémon were defined as a “Fairy Species” in the Pokédex, so it is not that much of a stretch that people should get mad about.
It just makes sense.
